Blue Air
About
Blue Air was a Romanian low-cost airline that operated from 2004 until its suspension of operations in September 2022. Headquartered in Bucharest, with its main hub at Henri Coandă International Airport, it was once the largest Romanian airline by scheduled passengers flown. Blue Air served 75 scheduled destinations across 21 countries. The airline faced financial difficulties, leading to the seizure of its accounts by Romanian authorities, the suspension of its license, nationalization in December 2022, and ultimately, filing for insolvency in March 2023.
