Travelers in Germany can select either buses or trains to travel from Munich to Nuremberg. The relatively close distance between the two cities makes it impractical to fly. Trains from Munich to Nuremberg are provided by Deutsche Bahn. The fastest trains offer direct trips from Munich to Nuremberg. Trains depart from Munich central station and arrive at Nuremberg central station in a little over an hour. There are morning, afternoon and evening trains. In general the MVV trains make 1-stop, making this a longer journey at about 2 hours. In general, trains cost more than buses, but are still a very affordable choice for travel between the cities.
