The brightest spot in Sweden is the city of Helsingborg with its waterfront views, scenic countryside, and great atmosphere. Start your morning out with a latte at Zoega's café and stroll down to Fria Bad beachside, only 350 feet away, where you can enjoy the warm sand and walk down the piers stretching out over the water. Another way to experience this Swedish countryside is to cruise its waters on one of the many ferries which run up and down, and even cross the Oresund Strait into Denmark. From there you can take a bus to the historic Karnan watchtower near Slottshagen, which stands 114 feet tall, and is over 700 years old. Or continue on for another mile to the largest open air museum in all of Sweden, Fredriksdal museum, which offers both amazing history and culture. Finally, you will enjoy the picturesque Kullagatan Street; once a merchant thoroughfare, it transitioned into a pedestrian shopping center in the 1960s, and is well known today. Kullagatan is a street in the inner city running between the main square, Stortorget and Sankt Jorgen Plats. It has many cafes and shops and is the perfect street to just take a stroll or relax with a glass of wine. Stop by Kings Corner if you're in the mood for steak, or for some Indian cuisine drop by Curry Nam Nam. If you just want the taste of America, Tugg's burgers has the best hamburgers anywhere. Helsingborg is a great place to experience Sweden, whether it's on foot, by bus or car, or even by ferry boat.
