Travelers can go from Bordeaux to San Sebastian by bus, train, or flight, with some journeys taking as little as 2 hours and 30 minutes. Bordeaux's main tourist attractions are Place Royale, the Grand Theatre, and taking a tour of the nearby vineyards. La Concha beach, the Old Town, and Urgull Hill are the top things to see in San Sebastian.
Train: SNCF trains connect both cities in approximately three hours. Travelers are required to alight in Hendaye and transfer to a train operated by Renfe (Spanish Railways). There are usually 8 to 10 trains per day, which depart from Bordeaux-Saint-Jean and arrive at Donostia-San Sebastian.
Bus: Alsa, Eurolines, Flixbus, and OuiBus run frequent buses between Bordeaux and San Sebastian. Direct journeys take 2 hours and 30 minutes, but those that require a transfer can take as long as 13 hours. The departure station is located on Rue Charles Domercq, and buses arrive at San Sebastian's central bus station.
Flight: Flying between these two cities is an option provided by Iberia and British Airways, although flights involve a stopover in Madrid or Barcelona and can take up to 14 hours once layover time is taken into account. There are at least six flights per day, which depart from Merignac Airport and arrive at San Sebastian-Donostia.
