Advantages
IconCheap trip
Disadvantages
IconMuch commotion on the train
IconNo room for suitcases
The journey on the regional train from Radolfzell on Lake Constance to Offenburg was unfortunately disappointing. The only advantage was the cheap ticket, but the disadvantages clearly outweighed this. First of all, there was no wifi on the train, which is almost indispensable these days to make good use of the time during the journey. That was really frustrating. The train was also crowded with many people, which made it feel uncomfortable and cramped. It was hard to find a seat, and even if you did get one, the crampedness was hard to bear. The limited freedom of movement made the journey anything but pleasant. Another annoying factor was that the train hardly had enough space for luggage. There was hardly any room for my suitcase and I had to tediously stow it under the seat or in the aisle, which was very uncomfortable for me and other passengers. It felt like the train was not prepared for the needs of the passengers. Overall, the journey from Radolfzell am Bodensee to Offenburg was not a positive experience. The lack of internet access, the overcrowded carriages and the lack of space for luggage marred the experience considerably. Despite the cheap ticket, I would not recommend this train connection unless you are prepared to put up with these inconveniences.
