Omio Travel Credits Terms and Conditions

1. You agree to be bound by these Omio Travel Credits terms when using, or attempting to use a code, and acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms along with Omio’s general terms and conditions and privacy policy.
2. Omio Travel Credits codes may only be redeemed for bookings booked and paid via the Omio Platform. Codes cannot be redeemed for tickets purchased off-site using external third-parties or for certain providers that have been integrated directly into Our Services such as Amtrak, among others.
3. Omio Travel Credits must be redeemed within two (2) years from the issuance date. If You do not redeem the Omio Travel Credits code within this timeframe this code will expire and You will lose the value of this Omio Travel Credits, unless You contact our Customer Service team via //help.omio.com to request a bank transfer to your bank account for the Omio Travel Credits value. Please note that it will not include the service fees charged by Omio on the booking which gave You the right to obtain an Omio code, and thus, the amount might be lower than if You use Your Omio Travel Credits. If You redeem this code and later wish to cancel the travel ticket purchased with Your Omio Travel Credits, You may be entitled to obtain another code for the same value depending on the fare conditions of Your ticket. If You redeem Your Omio Travel Credits code but later change Your booking and the value of Your new booking is less than Your Omio Travel Credits You may be entitled to receive another code for the difference.
4. Due to technical reasons, only one code can be used for each booking process and, Omio Travel Credits cannot be cumulated with any other promotions or offers; for example, Travel Bonus from Omio Referral Program.
5. The same code may be used several times during the validity period (if its holder has made several bookings during the validity period under the aforementioned conditions), but in no case may be it replaced, exchanged, reimbursed (except under conditions set out in clause 13) or transferred./li>
6. The value of the code will discount the total booking value, including any applicable taxes or fees. If the total booking value exceeds that of the Omio Travel Credits, the difference can be paid by any of the payment methods available on the Omio Platform.
7. For technical reasons, if the amount of the Omio Travel Credits is equal to or higher than the total booking value, at least one (1) Euro must be paid by the user with one of the available payment methods for the transaction to be carried out.
8. For the use of Omio Travel Credits, its holder needs to have a verified Omio Account that complies with the General Omio Terms and Conditions. To verify an Omio member account, the Credits holder must (i) create an account and (ii) verify his/her phone number by supplying his/her mobile phone number to Omio to receive an SMS verification code and then enter this code into the appropriate field on our Website or App. To redeem the Omio Travel Credits, the holder must be signed-in with the corresponding account and must enter and submit the code on the final checkout page under Use a discount.
9. Omio Travel Credits accrued in separate Omio accounts may not be combined into one Omio account.
10. If for any reason an Omio Member believes there is a discrepancy regarding their Omio Travel Credits balance, they can contact Omio via //help.omio.com. Omio may require an Omio Member to submit additional information in order to assist in correctly determining an Omio Member account balance. All decisions regarding an Omio Member’s Credits balance will be final and at the sole discretion of Omio.
11. The value of the Omio Travel Credits may be subject to currency fluctuation and/or currency exchange rates*.
12. The Omio Travel Credits are intended for personal use only. Its resale or any other transfer to a third party is prohibited. In the event of a contravention, Omio reserves the right to refuse to redeem the Omio Travel Credits code.
13. Before any use of the Omio Travel Credits, You may exchange Your code for a cash refund within ninety (90) days from the issuance of the Omio Travel Credits by contacting Omio’s customer service team via //help.omio.com. Please note that this deadline may be subject to change depending on the corresponding carrier’s cancellation policy and on the applicable regulations (such as, Regulation (EU) No. 181/2011 or Regulation (EU) No. 1371/2007 ) if Your transport service has been cancelled. If You opt for the exchange of the Omio Travel Credits for a cash refund, please note that it will not include the service fees charged by Omio on the booking which gave You the right to obtain an Omio code, and thus, the amount might be lower than if You use Your Omio Travel Credits. The cash refund may take up to ninety (90) days to be processed due to the high volume of requests received under the COVID-19 crisis. Any residual values resulting from the use of Omio Travel Credits cannot be paid in cash.
14. Severability: If any provision in these terms are held to be invalid, non-binding, or unenforceable, such provision or the part of it that is making it invalid, non-binding or unenforceable, will be struck and not affect the validity of and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
15. We reserve the right to suspend eligibility to receive Omio Travel Credits if we have reasons to believe that users are acting in a disingenuous, abusive, or fraudulent manner or if said users are in violation of the general Omio Terms and Conditions and/or these Omio Travel Credits Terms and Conditions. Omio Travel Credits earned through fraudulent activities or activities in violation of the Omio Travel Credits Terms and conditions will be null and void and repayment may be requested by Omio.
16. Our services are constantly evolving and expanding. We therefore reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. For existing users, the terms and conditions that were valid at the time of obtaining Omio Travel Credits will apply, unless a notice of amendment was received beforehand.

*Any exchange rate will be calculated using a system-wide rate, known as the base exchange rate. This rate is used for currency conversion using data from one or more third parties. We regularly update the base exchange rate, it may not, however, be identical to the real-time market rate.
