Ferries from Sorrento to Amalfi

Traveling by ferry is an excellent way to reach the Amalfi Coast. In fact, with its steep cliffs and inaccessible villages, the region is ideally suited to boat transport, and there should always be plenty of options to choose from. Between April and October, Volaviamare provides a daily service from Sorrento to Amalfi, with two sailings every day. Ferries to Amalfi tend to leave soon after breakfast, and shortly after lunch, so they should be suitable for day trippers. Travelers can expect journeys take just 50 minutes in all cases, and passengers are permitted to take pets with them if required. There's no option to take vehicles on board, aside from bicycles, but ample parking is provided at a sheltered garage in Sorrento, so it's easy to arrange quick trips to Amalfi. Boats leave from the main port in Sorrento, which is well connected to regional resorts and cities via bus and rail. They will arrive at Amalfi, a few hundred meters away from the historic port town.
