Wasaline is a Finnish shipping company operating the ferry route between Vaasa, Finland, and Umeå, Sweden, across the Gulf of Bothnia. Established in 2012, Wasaline is renowned for its commitment to environmental sustainability, exemplified by its hybrid ferry, Aurora Botnia, which utilizes liquefied natural gas (LNG) and batteries to minimize emissions. In 2025, Wasaline entered into a biogas agreement with Gasum and a FuelEU Maritime pooling agreement with Stena Line, making the Umeå–Vaasa route the first international green shipping corridor. In November 2025, Stena Line acquired Wasaline, further strengthening its presence in the Baltic Sea.
