A voucher is used to compensate passengers for trips that are canceled under certain circumstances and can be applied to your next ticket or journey by contacting the Lux Express Customer Service offices at +372-680-0909.

Travelers with a profound or severe disability can receive a 100% discount on their ticket, along with the person who is accompanying them on their trip. These disabilities can be visual disabilities or restricted mobility. Children under the age of 16 with any sort of disability also receive a free ticket.

Each passenger can bring one hand luggage item that weighs less than 11 pounds (5 kg), and smaller than 18 x 14 x 8 inches (45 × 35 × 20 cm). In addition to this piece of hand luggage, each passenger is allowed one piece of luggage (such as a bag or a briefcase) for no charge. It must weigh less than 66 pounds (30 kg) and be smaller than 28 x 12 x 22 inches (70 × 30 × 55 cm). These items will be kept in the luggage compartment on board the bus and then handed to the passenger by the bus crew when requested. Passengers can bring more than one piece of luggage if space is available in the luggage compartment and if the bus crew agrees to accommodate it. Whether or not the extra luggage is accepted will be determined at the departure location, and the passenger will not be charged extra for an additional piece of luggage. Bicycles are not considered standard luggage. Bicycles must be stored in the luggage compartment of the bus if space is available. This will be determined by the driver immediately before the departure. Front wheels must be dismantled and should not have any sharp parts that are protruding. In the event that the bicycle cannot fit in the luggage compartment, the driver will make a note on the passenger’s ticket that allows it to be switched to the next departure without a service fee. Tickets can also be refunded according to the Lux Express Group Ticket Sale Rules. Please note that routes operated by Lux Mini coaches cannot transport bicycles.

Lux Express offers seating with wide legroom, adjustable seats, free Wi-Fi and charging outlets, onboard entertainment through LuxTV, clean restrooms, personal air conditioning, and other conveniences to make your journey relaxing and comfortable.

Pets are allowed on domestic routes with an additional ticket purchased at a 40% discount. This will reserve a seat for your pet’s kennel or bag on the bus, which should be less than 16 x 16 inches (40 x 40 cm). On international routes, pets are typically not allowed since the travel time is greater than 4h and can be difficult for animals. Guide dogs are allowed on any route.

Bus travel can be delayed by several factors that are outside the control of drivers and Lux Express Services, such as inclement weather, traffic problems, road issues, and other unpredictable events that may prevent the punctual arrival of your coach. However, the professional and dedicated staff at Lux Express does everything possible to ensure that your journey is as smooth and seamless as possible.

If your bus is canceled, Lux Express will connect you with the next available departure from your location for no additional charge. In the event there is not an available Lux Express bus, the company will pay for you to travel with another company to your destination. If you choose not to utilize any of these options, you can receive a refund from the company within 14 days.

If the bus is delayed by an event outside the control of Lux Express, there are no additional accommodations offered due to the unpredictability of events.

Children of preschool age are allowed on board for free, and children younger than 16 can travel with a discount of 40% off.

There are no discounts specifically related to purchasing as a group, so there is no deadline for when you need to make your group purchase. You will simply purchase the tickets through standard procedure in a large bulk order.

Lux Express: Exploring the Balkans and beyond

Tucked up in the northeastern tip of Europe near the Baltic Sea, you'll find the Baltic states. Geographically close, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are often grouped together, but each country has its own distinct air.

Thanks to their proximity, it's easy to discover all three countries on one trip. Lux Express buses can take you between the capital cities—Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius—as well as to some more remote destinations with ease. Explore Tallinns' important Freedom Square—known as Victory Square during the Soviet era in Estonia—before taking a four-hour bus ride to Riga. Here you can spend a day exploring the city's old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is a treasure trove of Latvian culture and architecture. For the last stop, hop on another Lux Express bus to Vilnius. In just under four hours, you'll be discovering this slept-on gem. With its vibrant atmosphere, rich history and picturesque buildings, you won’t forget Lithuania’s capital anytime soon.

If you want to get into nature, then we recommend a trip to Pärnu. Just a two hour bus ride away from Tallinn, the town is a popular summer destination for locals. With long stretches of sandy beaches, a busy harbor, spa hotels and tasty restaurants, it’s a holiday destination that will please everyone.

Lux Express: FAQS

If you have a standard or lounge ticket for an international route then you can exchange your ticket for another journey. If the new ticket costs more than the original ticket, you will need to pay the difference.

Refunds are available via Omio and has to be requested up to an hour before departure. Refund amounts vary depending on how far in advance the refund request was made.

Pets are not permitted on Lux Express international routes. Small pets are allowed on Estonian domestic routes, but a ticket must be bought in advance and the pet must be in a carrier no bigger than 15 inches by 15 inches. Guide dogs are allowed on all Lux Express buses but must have the correct paperwork.

Children under 16 years travel for 80 percent less than the price of a normal ticket in international Lux Express routes. A valid passport is required.

Unfortunately, wheelchair access is not currently available on international Lux Express routes. However, the company do recommend people with reduced mobility contact them 36 hours before departure to see if help can be arranged.

Lux Express baggage policy: everything you need to know

Each passenger is allowed one carry-on and one larger piece to be placed in the hold. The carry-on must not exceed 5 kg and cannot be larger than 45x35x20cm (length x width x height). Holdall baggage must not exceed 30 kg and cannot be larger than 70x30x55cm.

For Lux Express journeys within the European Union, bikes are allowed on board when a bike ticket has been bought in advance. The driver will provide a case for the bike to go in during transit. In some cases, the front wheel may need to be removed. For Lux Express journeys outside of the EU, bikes are permitted but only if there is availability in the hold but space cannot be pre-booked. The front-wheel must be removed before storage. If a bike cannot be carried then a refund for the original ticket will be issued.

If you have forgotten or lost your baggage, please contact Lux Express’ customer service as soon as possible. Please provide all relevant information such as type of baggage, the time and date of your journey and your seat number.
