Most days, there is one fast bus that switches at St Margaret's station, Leicester. Journeys through London take at least two hours longer and there are also a couple of services every day that call upon passengers to change twice en route.
National Express is the only company currently operating buses along this route.
The length of the journey depends upon where passengers change buses along the way. The shortest route is around seven hours 25 minutes and takes passengers through Leicester. Most services, however, swap buses at Victoria, leading to travel times of eight to nine hours. There's also a slower, ten to twelve-hour bus that stops at both Peterborough and Nottingham.

Arrival bus station: National Express passengers generally arrive at the northern end of Leeds bus and bus station on Dyer Street. The Leeds Markets are accessible through the western exits, and across the A61 is the Leeds Playhouse.
