If you are heading straight from Dublin Airport to Galway, then you need to exit the terminal buildings and make your way to zone 13, which is where all bus services from Dublin Airport to Galway leave from.
If you are leaving Dublin City for Galway, the pickup point can vary. For Gobus, the pickup point is between Jaffa on the Quays and the Immigration Offices on Burgh Quay. For Citylink, the departure point is located on Aston Quay between O'Connell Bridge and Ha‘penny Bridge just in front of the Forbidden Planet comic store and Eden Recruitment.
The bus journey from Dublin to Galway is a popular one so it is recommended to buy your tickets before your departure. For example, if you book with Citylink or gobus via Omio it is cheaper than buying tickets on the day.

Each passenger can carry on two rucksacks or two medium-sized suitcases that must not exceed 20kg each. Passengers can also bring on one piece of small carry-on luggage at no additional cost. If a passenger brings additional luggage, they may be required to pay an extra €5 per item. Citylink advises those traveling on its buses to keep their valuables (passport, electronic equipment etc.) on their person at all times.
