Omio is excited to announce Veronica Diquattro as the President of B2C Europe

With Omio adding Rome2Rio and B2B businesses in recent years, the B2C consumer business is at scale for a strong leader to come and lead.

Berlin, October 4th, 2023: Omio, Europe’s leading platform for travel by train, bus, flight and ferry, is expanding its management team with the appointment of Veronica Diquattro, former CEO of Global Markets and Chief Revenue Officer Europe of DAZN, and senior management at both Spotify and Google, to President of B2C Europe.

For Omio, which has recently expanded from a B2C-only company into a group with B2B products, Diquattro’s appointment marks a strengthening of the management team and the global growth strategy. In the newly created B2C position at Omio, Diquattro will be responsible for revenue growth, developing and managing the relationships with our transport providers, and the adoption of the service across consumers in Europe as the go-to platform for travellers.

Commenting on Diquattro’s appointment, Naren Shaam, CEO and Founder of Omio said: “Both myself and the whole Omio leadership team are excited for Veronica to join our senior leadership team, where she can bring her consumer-centric expertise and business expansion acumen into Omio. I’m happy to have her support in helping grow a global company and to support our vision of building a seamless travel platform where consumers can search for, compare and book all modes of transport globally, ultimately changing the transportation sector for the better.”

Diquattro, on her appointment, stated: “I joined Omio due to the incredible growth opportunity and the chance to solve another consumer need. As an avid traveller who has both backpacked and lived abroad, I know the problem we are trying to solve exceedingly well and I am motivated to bring a genuine impact in the industry.”

At DAZN, Diquattro launched the service in Italy and in Spain and played a strategic role in developing and reshaping DAZN’s strategy to position the business as one of the most important sports platforms worldwide for fans and leagues. Before this, she was Managing Director of Southern and Eastern Europe at Spotify, and worked on launching the Android Market and Google Play in Italy for Google. She is additionally a non-executive director and advisor in the Technology and Media sector. She has been awarded as one of Italy’s top Inspiring Fifty most influential women for technology and innovation (2019).

“I’m excited to bring my knowledge and experience from different sectors and markets into the Omio business. The greatest value comes from diversity and fusing views, ideas and knowledge. I love observing user habits and getting creative on how to solve the friction points they face,” stated Diquattro.

For Omio, which took over further internationally leading mobility platforms such as Rome2Rio and has recently expanded from a B2C-only company into a group with B2B products, Diquattro’s appointment marks a strengthening of the management team. It is an essential step in its global growth strategy. In her new role, Diquattro will be crucial in building and strengthening the B2C travel product and ensuring it develops in the most consumer-centric way possible for a seamless travel future.
