Travel Valencia

Travel Seville

Travel Spain: Getting Around

Spain might be vast but it is relatively easy to travel around Spain thanks to it's well connected train, bus and plane connections. Spain's main train company Renfe, runs a high-speed service called AVE, meaning that getting between major cities can often be easier than flying. However, with cheap flight options, you can also fly from one end of Spain to another in a matter of hours. Planes are a good option if you decide to go to one of the islands such as Ibiza. Last but not least, if you have a bit more time and want to keep costs down then you can travel all around Spain by bus. Alsa - is one of the biggest bus services in Spain and connects to all over the country.

Trains: Trains are particularly good if you're traveling with a family or with a lot of luggage as there isn't an extra cost for normal luggage. Amenities are good and seats are comfortable so they're especially good if you have children.
Buses: Buses are good for backpackers or those on a tight budget. The journey times may be longer but as prices don't increase much it means that they're a good option for last minute journeys. Allowing for your Spanish vacation to be more flexible.
Flights: Flying around Spain is good for those who are traveling light. Flying is also a good option for longer distances and to getting to the Spanish islands.

The most popular routes in Spain are often between the major cities, with the train being a very popular option to go from one city to another. However, buses and flights go between most major cities in Spain and are a good option depending on cost and time restrictions.
