Trains to Valencia

Trains in Spain are a convenient way to travel between cities, with a number of companies offering domestic and international train routes. Valencia is well connected to other Spanish cities via the Renfe train network, and to European destinations through connections via Barcelona. The Renfe network connects Valencia to domestic cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and Malaga. Travellers from other countries can hook up with Renfe trains by taking SNCF TGV trains to Barcelona Sants. This allows visitors from the UK, France, Germany and Italy to reach Valencia with ease. All trains to Valencia arrive at the Joaquin Sorrolla station, which can be found just to the south of the city centre. Joaquin Sorrolla is linked to other parts of the city via Valencia's excellent Metro system. Line 5 (green) takes passengers to the Airport, while Line 1 connects north and south Valencia. Both lines provide access to central attractions and hotels.

Valencia

Valencia has turned itself into one of Spain's most attractive destinations, with large, well-kept parks, historical sites and state of the art scientific museums to visit. The town has an impressive range of museums to choose from, with its oceanarium, planetarium and the iconic City of Arts and Sciences that was designed by local architect Santiago Calatrava. The town has an ancient history as well, as shown by the Romanesque cathedral and the winding streets around the Plaza de la Virgen. It also has a proud sporting tradition; visitors can catch a La Liga match at the Mestalla Stadium. Few cities can boast the range of parks that Valencia possesses. The city is ringed by the Turia Gardens, with their orange trees and 9 kilometres of paths, while the unspoiled wetlands and beaches of the Albufera National Park are only a bus ride away.
