IconStress when changing trains
The journey from Vienna to Budapest was the last journey from my trip to Budapest. This time I was generally satisfied with the comfort as well as the wifi. The only thing that bothers me is that the staff can't manage to keep the trains clean. This includes the toilets and the rubbish bins. Unfortunately, the train was late again, which caused stress. Overall, I am satisfied with the price of the trip.

The train ride from Vienna to Budapest was a great experience. The train was on time and comfortable. The scenery along the route was picturesque and the journey along the Danube was particularly impressive. The train staff were friendly and helpful. The short travel time between the two cities makes this connection ideal for a day trip or a weekend. Overall, a recommendable way to connect these two fascinating cities.

IconMeagre selection in the bistro
Overall, the train journey from Vienna to Budapest was a relaxing and enjoyable travel option. The comfortable seats, scenic route and friendly staff contributed to a positive travel experience. However, a few improvements in terms of catering and power outlets could make the journey even more enjoyable. I can recommend this train route to travellers who want to experience a relaxing journey between the two beautiful cities. There were no delays during the journey.
Pros

Cons
IconLate departure
IconUnclear announcements
The train journey from Vienna to Budapest left an ambivalent impression. The train offered modern comfort and was well air-conditioned. The seats were comfortable and adjustable, which was important for the long duration of the journey. The departure was unfortunately delayed without clear announcements to cause, which caused confusion among the passengers. The information provided by the train staff could definitely be improved.
Pros
IconOn time
IconGood wifi
IconComfortable seats
Cons
IconWeak wifi
The Westbahn, on which I travelled, had 2 floors and sockets, like any other Westbahn. Wifi was also there, but was very weak. It is very easy to make a reservation and the staff is nice. The train always arrives on time and is very hygienic inside. The seats are comfortable and the service is nice. You never have to change trains when you travel with the Westbahn and you only travel for a short time, so 4 out of 5 stars.
Pros
IconVery punctual departure and arrival
IconClean toilets
Cons
IconDirty and uncomfortable seats
I recently had a train journey from Vienna to Budapest and would now like to share my experience here. I was very impressed by the punctuality of the train, both on departure and arrival. The cleanliness of the toilets was also very commendable. Unfortunately, however, the seats were disappointing. They were really dirty and uncomfortable, which affected comfort during the journey. So in summary, the experience for me was mixed, with positives such as the punctuality and cleanliness of the toilets on the one hand, but the dirty and uncomfortable seats on the other.
Pros

Cons
IconExpensive products in the bistro
Travelling from Vienna to Budapest by train was a very pleasant experience. It was a historic train, but technically in good condition and also clean. The toilets were also clean and well maintained. You can then get a coffee in the bistro, although it was a little expensive. Wifi was available free of charge. There were no delays during the entire journey. The service was good and the staff were friendly

I took the EC 341 from Vienna to Budapest on 9 March. The journey took about two hours and 40 minutes. The journey was direct and I didn't have to change trains. Unfortunately, the train was very crowded, which also made the journey a little less comfortable. Nevertheless, everything was clean and hygienic. There were no delays and the price-performance ratio was very good. The staff also helped me when I didn't know where to go.
Pros
IconSuper service
Cons
IconA little expensive
I travelled to Budapest on the ÖBB EC 40346. As the journey was for business, like almost all my journeys, the internet connection on the train was very important to me. Fortunately, I was not disappointed and I was able to work well on my laptop via the train's wifi. During the 3 hours I had a great experience with the service, which also brought me food to my seat on request. I would have preferred to pay less, but the price was still reasonable.

I really liked the fact that I could book my ticket from Vienna to Budapest very easily online. However, the ticket was quite expensive, but I didn't have to change trains and was able to reach my destination very quickly. I also liked the fact that my train wasn't delayed at all. The very good wifi enabled me to watch films. The toilets and the floors of the train were very clean.

The train from Vienna to Budapest on 11 September departed late at 11:42 with train number 61. The journey took 3 and a half hours. The staff were all friendly and polite. I would recommend this service to anyone.

Timetable: from Vienna to Budapest, without changing trains. Journey time: the journey took around 2 hours and 40 minutes. Train number: EC 143 without seat reservation. Comfort: the noise level was reasonable and the seats were comfortable. There was no proper catering. Facilities: No power sockets, wifi for a fee. Service: The staff and passengers were friendly. You can make a reservation, but I didn't and bought a one-way ticket. Cleanliness: Everything was clean, but there were no toilets. Without changing trains but with a 15-minute delay.
