Regional-Express (RE, or REX in Austria) is a type of regional train service found in Germany, Luxembourg, and Austria. RE services typically reach top speeds of 160 km/h, with some reaching 200 km/h on high-speed lines. While initially operated by DB Regio, many lines are now run by various private operators. These trains often use double-deck cars with electric or diesel locomotives.

The Sylter Verkehrsgesellschaft (SVG) is a transport company primarily operating public bus services on the island of Sylt, Germany. Established in 1952, it succeeded the Sylt Island Railway, which ceased operations in 1970, with buses taking over passenger transport entirely. SVG runs five bus lines connecting all island towns from Westerland, the central hub. A notable feature is the bicycle racks on the back of their buses, accommodating up to five bikes. SVG also offers island tours, excursions, and special services like school transport. They have introduced battery-electric buses to their fleet.
