Flights from Chicago to Paris: Journey Details

Direct Chicago to Paris flights are operated by major airlines, such as Lufthansa, British Airways, United Airlines, Iberia, American Airlines and Delta. Most flights are code-share bookings and have a flight time of approximately 8 hours. Direct Chicago to Paris flights leave early in the morning. Other Chicago to Paris flights involve connections at other airports depending on the carrier. These include New York JFK, Charlotte, Dublin, Stockholm or Montreal, with journey times of around 11 hours, and departures throughout the day.

Flying from Chicago

Chicago to Paris flights depart from Chicago O'Hare International Airport, one of the largest in the world, located 27 km North West of the city. There is a 24-hour shuttle train link between the airport and city, on the CTA Blue Line. Departures are every 15 minutes, with a journey time of around 30 minutes. This is the fastest and most economical way to travel from the airport to the city. Alternatives are taxis or rental cars, both of which are available at every terminal. Chicago has a cheap and efficient public transport system of trains and buses, which includes night bus routes.

Flying into Paris

Chicago to Paris flights land at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Charles de Gaulle is a large hub airport with multiple terminals, situated 25 km to the North East of Paris. Trains from the airport into Paris depart every seven to eight minutes and take around 40 minutes to complete the journey. A more economical, but slower option, is the Roissybus service. Taxi ranks and car rental offices are located at all Charles de Gaulle terminals. Paris is an easy city to explore on foot, but does have a very efficient and tourist friendly Metro and bus network, including Noctilien night buses.
