To answer your first question, fair damsel, the H icon denotes that the phone is attached to the 'HSCSD' data connection speed. It stands for High Speed Circuit-Switched Data.
It is a connection rate faster than normal data transfer speed, but not quite 3G....2.5G if you will. So, there you go! Browse the web a little quicker than usual when this is on!
This could well tie into why your battery life is a little shorter than usual. The HSCSD connection can sap your battery, as can Bluetooth or excessive gaming! You can turn it off in the 'connectivity' section of the 'settings' menu.
Having said that, we have the C902 down as having 9 hours talktime on our site, so you are doing really well to get as much as you are! Hope that helps!
What do you think of it? Feel free to write a review or rate the Sony Ericsson C902 on Omio!
Hey Lou! How long did you charge it for on the first occasion? The shops usually say that you should charge it for around 6 to 12 hours the first ever time, to make sure the battery is full up... If not charged fully, then often the battery tends to hold far less juice.
But 4 hours is pretty poor, you may need to get the battery looked at, as you would have to charge 3 times a day at that rate!
As for the camera, the four touchscreen buttons at the top switch between the type of image capture. From left to right, it's photo, video, playback, and autofocus. They can only be switched from one to the other, and they should all be pretty responsive!
So if you press 'photo', then you can only go to the other three options from there...do you see what I mean? Definitely if those buttons still do not work, then that combined with the battery issues gives you more than enough reason to return the phone and get a replacement.
Don't let this taint your view of a
pretty good handset, and please put up a quick review one you get used
to it!
