I know this has less ram than the HTC Touch Diamond and hasnt got a high quality VGA screen but the idea of a "Real" camera and also an external memory slot is very tempting. Having just been put off ordering the Touch Pro from Voda (was wanting the SE Xperia but not available yet) after watching a OMIO review I am geared towards the Omnia. Has anyone here got the Omnia? What do you think about it? In my local Tmobile store today I got into a debate with the sales assistant who said there isnt any built in memory, you either buy with 8gb or 16gb memory card and she was showing me the memory available and it showed 23mb. 23mb is a very little amount to have and I remember having more on the first MDA compact.

Well I have been busy. I took a trip into town and picked up a white Samsung Omnia 8gb with an extra 8gb chucked in. I have been installing stuff and personalising it all day. I love it, I thought I would need a keyboard but this screen is huge and easy to see the virtual keyboard. Decent camera and excellent sound via the funky provided headphones. Noticed a little slow down when opening another app while media playing but nothing to sneer at.

Congrats on your purchase, and excellent review! We've been waiting to get our hands on a review handset, but have heard really good things already...

What's the media playback like?

Media is fantastic. Obviously as only function either just playing music or a movie as if you have too many apps open you will see some lag but I cant knock it for being an excellent replacement to a portable mp3 player and divx player. These headphones are really something special (well to me they are) I have since gave my Sein CX300s away now.

Copy and paste your ring tones or music to My Documents/My Ringtones folder. You will be able to select the music or tones at the Sounds and Notifications setup page.

That's it!

To make text tones, just copy and paste your tones or music to Windows folder. You will be able to select the music or tones at the Sounds and Notifications setup page.

Hey, have you seen this for your Omnia music player? It turns it into something like the one for the iPhone!
