Just got the N96 Yesterday an was sourly disappointed, my previous phones is the 6300 and in comparison the N96 feels very very plastic, the 6300 has many batter functions for example you can have a security cod eon the key lock, u can copy an paste things in the calendar, very useful if you see similar clients each week. When your tying to select a name to text on the N96 it has a very long way of going about it. I am seriously considering going back to my 6300 and abandoning the N96, not a happy bunny.

Please keep on sharing your experience if you have any.

Sorry to hear that David, quite a few people seem to be underwhelmed by the N96...

Just feels a bit cheap considering that it is the flagship Nokia handset, plastic-y and not too much new.

Shame really. How is the iPlayer and the multimedia? Let's focus on the positive aspects of the N96 for a moment!

The N96 is a long-awaited promising mobile phone of the Nokia brand. The internal memory of 16GB, the 5.0 Megapixel digital camera, FM radio, GPS receiver, HSDPA and of course, the mobile television function, make the Nokia N96 a fully equipped device.

Yeah I've heard the most recent Nokia devices seem a little "cheap" as far as the materials and build quality.  I have a N95-3 purchased earlier this year and love it.  Solid as a rock.

The Nokia N96 has a pretty hefty reputation to live up to. The N95 was a true powerhouse, and the finest converged device of its time.

Maybe they shouldn't have gotten our hopes up by calling it the Nokia N96? There are other numbers!

The Nokia N96 is able to slide two ways. If you slide open to the top, the standard buttons will appear, if you slide open to the bottom, the monitor will rotate automatically and short-cuts for multimedia applications will appear.

got my unlocked N96 from puremobile.com and im loving it. for a great price witha fast trustable service. what i like the most about N96 is that it can slide both ways.

It works in the same sliding action of the N95 and don't like that bit as it can slide in your pocket.

I do like the N95, but not the N96 and thinks its way over priced.
