Activating Your Shortcuts

Simply click the following:

Green ‘Dial‘ button > BlackBerry Menu > Options > General Options

 

Switch the ‘Dial From Home Screen’ option to NO

You will notice that hitting keys on your QWERTY keypad will no longer take you to the corresponding letter in your contact book. Instead, keys will route you to a range of different functions/applications.
