Automatic Cashback

'Automatic cashback' refunds the agreed sum at a certain point during your new mobile contract (often at the beginning), with the process occurring automatically.

Cashback By Redemption

'Cashback By Redemption' means that the money is returned to you once the retailer has proof that you have been paying your line rental each month, and on time. They tend to offer greater rewards than mobile phone deals which promises automatic cashback.

To get the cashback, the retailer requires you to submit past phone bills at a specific point in your contract, and upon receipt they will refund the agreed sum to you.

The issue that many people have with these deals is finding the required paperwork and submitting it in a timely fashion. Provided you can remain organized and stick to these conditions then cashback can be a great way of grabbing a deal.

However, if you think that you are likely to forget to do the paperwork, then perhaps you should stick to something more suitable, like an automatic cashback or free gift offer, where the deal no longer relies upon input from yourself.
